Nepal: Lukla - Experience of landed on the world most dangerous airport, Lukla Airport

I always say, if you don't have money, sell some time to get some.

I was selling my time so hard in the past month and that's the reason why no update from me.

Alright this is a quick one.

To kicked start our Everest Base Camp Trek, we took flight from Kathmandu to the starting point, Lukla.

Lukla airport known as the world most dangerous airport because of the geographical and very short runaway, you can hear accident happened almost every year.

However, this has never stop those die-heart hiking fans to challenge the EBC trek or Mountain Everest, flight from Kathmandu to Lukla everyday is full, heaps of people didn't get on the plane and have to come back everyday just to wait for the chance to fly to Lukla.

If you wanna fly to Lukla, you have to know so really cruel facts, such as no ticket booking guarantee and the damage is really ouch. If you wanna know more, click me and scroll to the lower chart to see what should you prepare, the cost and the agency that i contacted for guide and ticket arrangement.

So i will skip that part and jump to some picy and videos that we took in the airport and plane.

this is Kathmandu domestic flight airport lobby aka the hall where people wait and grab the ticket.

Our guide grab us the flight tix with no name, no flight number, only estimate flight time. (yes, you paid but not guarantee anything, you might have to wait for next flight even you're already in departure hall due to weather or etc)

the departure hall.

and John found a samsung tv that fail to turn on.

woke up early and wait in the airport, we were lucky because we got on the early flight.

short transfer bus ride to the plane.

uploading baggage and goods

I was like assistant pilot, sitting right behind the real pilot and watching them to operated the flight

inside the flight, our guide, Norbu was next to John

short video that i took before took off.

you will be given a candy and some cotton

the flight is around 30 to 45 minutes, but half of the time you were flying in cloud and the visibility is so poor, and this mark the reason of this flight is the most dangerous airport in the world.

and finally we see some mountain.

short clip of the mountains that we saw in the plane

I can never forget the scene

you were so close to the sky and mountain

love this.

this is the video of landing in Lukla Airport, we cant see the run way and its all depend on God if we can land safely or not.
