Cambodia: Siem Reap - The Angkor Wat

The weather was not good in the week that we were in Siem Reap, showered and thick clouds in the first 2 days, and that's the reason makes my photos look really dark.

So 3th day, we went to the small circle aka Angkor Wat.

There are only one main temple in Angkor Wat, so you don't need to hop on the tuk-tuk to travel from one temple to another temple like in Angkor Thom, you can just walk.

The highlight of Angkor Wat for us was the wall carving about the legend story, which is the churning of the sea of milk, if you wanna know more, ask google please~

As our concern is the long terrace and wall carving, we finished the tour in less than half day, we spend another half day in the town.

black and white tune to cover my bad lighting control >,<

This is the best that my camera can perform under the bad weather.

corner in the temple.

I don't remember the name of this God, but lots of people worshipping him.

The long terrace that appear in a lot of postcard.

the wall carving.

you may get close but not touching.

the carving is as clear as this.

Some of the carving hasn't done before the people move out from Siem Reap to Phom Phean

This is the only Samsara that grinning in Siem Reap.

A lot more Samsara in the temple

Love this, every single detail wasn't been ignored.

People come and pray, they believe God are protecting Siem Reap.
some Buddha statues that couldn't be recognize.

Buddha heads were removed by King who is not Buddhism.

Religious is not the weapon, why cant we live peacefully?

Way to gallery

Last pic before we leave.

A lot of people think Angkor Wat is less attractive compare to Angkor Thom and remote temple, but i thin each Angkor is unique and worth to pay a visit, even though you're not a fan of history, but i assure you will enjoy the hard work that people did in this city, like i do.

With this post, i'm goin to end the temple post of Siem Reap, next post will be more on food and restaurant review.
