Nepal: Pokhara - Noble Inn Review + Fewa Lake Boat Trip.

This will be a combine post for Pokhara accommodation review and Few Lake, the main attraction of Pokhara.

As Pokhara is one of the main travel destination of Nepal (because of its lake, a few leisure to medium level trek and extreme activity such as paragliding and etc), just don't worry bout accommodation, there are countless of inn, guesthouse, hotel even luxury resort available.

We did some research and found out some famous place such as Hotel Blue Heaven, Hotel Peace Plaza are overprice, probably because they're located in the nicest point where guest could see Himalayan from room.

But well, we don't stay in the room all the time so doesn't really matter if we could see the mountains from room.

Again, my priority to choose a room were:
1. Great sun light.
2. Clean and airy.
3. Quiet environment yet handy to go everywhere.

So our final decision is Noble Inn, which located in an alley off the main street.

where noble inn located.

you can see the signboard on the entrance of alley from main street. Noble inn is not the only guesthouse in that alley so nothing to worry bout when walk back during night time.

lovely and sunny building.

We waved a taxi in the bus station and its only cost us less than RM10 to the place, but yea the bus station isn't far from main street.

We love the place in our first sign, lovely big garden and stand alone building with not more than 15 rooms, big window in every room and guess what...

We only book a standard double room (USD 14/night) and got upgrade to suite room (USD 24/night). Ok because we told the manager that we were on honeymoon hahahahahhahahahahahahaah.

Suite room come with a small living room and big balcony, where you will see the following view right there.

right from our balcony.

A short clip that shown the mountain view and surrounding of the guesthouse.

Of course not super full view of Himalaya but it was good enough for us!

Shame that i didn't take down any room picture (i never thought i will have to starting hotel review post that time). But Noble Inn do have an website, you can get all kind of information from there.

Noble Inn, Pokhara.
Add: Mansawar Rd, Pokhara, 33700, Nepal.

Website: http://nobleinn.com/

You will love Noble Inn if...
1. You're looking for fair deal more than great hotel facilities enjoyment.
2. Simple yet clean, bright and airy room.
3. Love quiet environment yet not too far from the center.

And something that you might should have to know before contact Noble Inn...
1. No power supply 24h, just like most of the hotels in Pokhara / Nepal.
2. No internet connection when current cut off. But when power is on the connection was fair and smooth.
3. Simple breakfast (breads and egg) serves slow (but hey what are you rushing for?)
4. Furniture is wore and old, but functioning well though.
5. Hate to walk back though dark and quite alley during night time (we brought torch light and feel safe)
6. Hot shower but hot water come slow.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pokhara got its name from Fewa Lake.

Norbu told us, Pokhara in Nepal language mean "The Lake's City".

Fewa lake is the biggest lake in Nepal (or in the regional?), i love this place first saw from internet, because its very similar with Motueka, New Zealand, the small little town where i spent almost 4 months.

So the 2nd day in Pokhara, we took a walk in the lake side, like what the tourist usually did.

his collection, local door frame and his back.

the lake is huge and hazy during early morning.

colourful boat everywhere.

we decided to take boat to another side and hike up to Peace Pagoda. So we rent the boat with driver.

we come close to the lake and decided to stopped by and have a look.

the white peak is peace pagoda.

we love this small little town with calm lake.

If you're confusing and wondering on the maps, let me do a little explanation.

We took the boat from the boat place (refer maps below), and if you just want to visit temple, you can actually take boat from temple boat place, which is cheaper and nearer.

So we took boat from boat place, stop by in temple and go to the starting point of world peace pagoda, and did 2 hours leisure hiking to the pagoda.

Peach Pagoda post will be the next, and i'll continue with the surrounding of lake.

So the day after we did hiking to pagoda, we went to temple boat place for walk after lunch.

and we found lotsa colourful boats in the place and that was amazing.

the best pix that i took in Pokhara

Alright will come back as soon as i can.

Next is Peace Pagoda.
