New Zealand : Tokomaru Bay - Brians Place BBH Review

This is another Backpacker's hostel review post, all about the hostel and the place.

I went to 2d1n trip from Te Puke to Gisborne thought the beautiful pacific coast highway, this is like 12 hours driving but we choose to stop in Tokomaru Bay, a very small and quite town in the middle of east cape and Gisborne, because of this beautiful backpackers' hostel.

Brians' Place is in Tokomaru Bay of the eastland, right below east cape, a family run hostel (i guess), very cosy cottage with few rooms and few cabins, good place to see the first light of the world, because the beach and the sunrise is right in front of this hostel, you can see the first light once you open your eyes on your bed, i mean, this is great ain't?

See the photos, and you will know how great its this backpackers' hostel.

Toilet is out from the house

And guess what, no flash! hahahaha

Alicia and I wanted to see the sunrise, but wrong weather, it was so cloudy that morning and we couldn't see the sun rising exactly from the sea.

But since we woke up, Alicia and I decided to go for a morning walk to the beach, was like 5 minutes walking distance.

Got back to the hostel, i laying on the sofa of the hostel, listening to the music that played by the host - Kila, a Switzerland backpacker that met her local bf and decided to stay and work with Brian, the owner of the hostel (sweet!), and chat with the other guest from Germany, Samuel.

He is the only one guest except the group of us, Samuel is a backpacker, and he wasn't plan to stay in this backpackers such a long time (2 weeks), but once he stepped in he in love with the place, then he decided to spend the rest of the days in NZ over here.

And i think if i got the chance to come back to north island, i would stay here for another time. As what i told Kila. =)

Very clean and cozy backpackers, the staff Kila and her bf (i forgotten his name!) are friendly and helpful, $28 without BBH card and $25 with BBH card, you can search their website and look for the location by google it, its searchable.

And Brians' Place is my top BBH that i have stayed in NZ so far.
