New Zealand: Coromandel - Hot Water Beach

I really tried hard to squeeze the whole Coromandel trip into one post, but the photos don't allow me to, if i do, the post will just long like the last entry, and i know, this is really tiring to read the post from beginning to the end.

So i post smart, i choose to post place by place, start from the end of the trip back to the beginning (Ok i was though to squeeze the whole story in one post, so i upload photos from the end of the journey, that's why i goin to story the journey backward).

Well this is 2 days 1 night trip, to the northland of north island named of Coromandel region.

Only 3 attractions of this trip, Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach in Whitiaga area, and Creek Railway in Coromandel town.

And this post is all about Hot Water Beach.

Hot Water Beach first found in Coromandel, you can dig your own spa pool when low tide period. the sea water is absolutely hot (sometime, just warm, you know)!

What is it?

Some volcanos develop huge underground reservoirs of superheated water. Over time, this water will escape to the surface — cooling on the way. There are two fissures at Hot Water Beach issuing water as hot as 64ºC (147ºF) at a rate as high as 15 litres/minute. This water contains large amounts of salt (NOT salt water), calcium, magnesium, potassium, fluorine, bromine and silica. There are other hot water springs nearby but the location of these two springs on the beach make them unique.

More info and photo please see this website and i guarantee you wouldn't see the same photos from what you've seen in the website.

Because you know what, i didn't got myself a free spa pool in this bloody damn beach, because of the timing.

But still, then, this is a beautiful place, and my mates and I spent like an hours just for the sake of taking photos.

Well, never enough time to take photos in this beach.

I told ya we come in the wrong timing, either low tide or high tide, or no matter how deep you dig the hot water wouldn't come out, we knew this before we come, but due on the matter of time, we're not allowed to come either low tide or high tide time.

That wouldn't be a regret, because we found the peaceful side of this beach, which usually full of tourist.

Hot water beach was the last stop for the whole 2d1n trip, although we didn't try out the natural and free spa pool, but all of us love the weather of the day, love the peacefulness of this beach.

And after visited the beach, we drove like 4 hours to go back to Tauranga, to meet Alicia, who has been left out from the trip because of work.

She wants us to bring her camera along to this trip, just for take photo on her behalf.

To met her for dinner and at the same time returned her camera.

And this dinner mean farewell for Yuan Ting and Evita, they were heading to south in the next morning, and this gonna be the last dinner 4 of us had together.

Hey girls, my best memory in Tauranga and trips were given by you girls, thanks for allowed me to join the trip and bare with all the inconvenience i brought to you girls.

Alicia you're the one who build the friendship between me and Yuanting and Evita, and i love you the most among all the friends. You must be good, we shall met in Miri, Malaysia. I give you my words.

YuanTing and Evita, we haven't finish yet, we will, and must meet in South. I give you girls my words too.

When God closed you the door, He will opened you a window.

When God let you apart with some friends, He will let you meet some new friends.

Thanks God.
