New Zealand: Abel Tasman National Park - The awesome natural park.

The first trip after i moved to South, Abel Tasman National Park.

Abel Tasman National Park is a national park located at the north end of the South Island of New Zealand. The park was founded in 1942 and with a coverage of only 225.3 square kilometres, is the smallest of New Zealand's national parks.[1] The park consists of forested, hilly country to the north of the valleys of the Takaka and Riwaka Rivers, and is bounded to the north by the waters ofGolden Bay and Tasman Bay. It is named after Abel Tasman, who in 1642 became the first European explorer to sight New Zealand.

The town where i'm staying is the nearest and largest town from this national park, only 20km away. So in the weekend Jess, Elsa and Angeline reached Motueka, we decided to go for one day trip in this national park.

Bus, water taxi and track cost us $70, but its worth anyway, this national park is amazing. You could choose to do min 3 hours tracking or 3 days tracking. Of course, we choose the minimum one.

While on the way to the starting point of the walkway, Bark Bay, the guide on water taxi has introduce some of the must-take-photo view for us.

But frankly, those rock look nothing special for me, except this one.

Apple rock, so alike

People and view on the way to the bay is much more interesting for me actually. Oh yea, did i told you, i saw my first wild seal in this national park too?

Mini island, spot seal!

lazy around

Not its not dead, just lazy around

What disappointing me was, not much seal on the sunny day, i was expected heaps like what the guide told us, but well, always have to chance to see more, because i'm in NZ.

30 minute ride on boat and we reached Bark Bay. We reached by 10am and the water taxi will pick us up in the next bay, Torrent Bay by 330pm. The track we had chosen just 3 hours plus, and have plenty of time for photography!

Here we go!

6.4km is really nothing.

Have you ever seen such beautiful sea?

Peaceful

Acting, too

Thanks God for the good weather

Believe or not, we had lunch on the rock

The swing bridge in between bark bay and torrent bay amazed us! We stopped like half hour just for photographing.

Not on the bridge itself, but the view and scenic around, the water below was so clear, i can count the rock in the water from the swing bridge! I swear!

Really really amazing

I bet you can see the rock under the water too aint?

Crystal clear

Me, and the water

Sitting in the middle is my hobby

The view of this national park is really amazed us, and surprised us, we never know what's on in the next look out point, but for one thing i sure, the view is never disappointed us.

Almost there

Halway Pool? Where is the pool?

This is not rock, this is pool with full of water, crystal clear, like a mirror.

See the end point

We reached the next point pretty early, like 2 hours before 330pm.

Walked around the bay, stop in the mini whaft, sleep on there and looking at the sky, this is life.

Here we are, Torrent Bay

Pretty sunshine

Sleep and enjoy the sunshine, this is my nz life.

Worth to pay a visit in this national park. If i know there are 3 days tracking available, i think i would do that, but anyway, i stay in nz, i always got the chance.

Hey you, if you're not in nz, you should really come here at least once a year, here is like heaven =).
