New Zealand: Rotorua - The Red Woods

Very late update i know.

But i still update ma right *winks*

Went for a day trip to Rotorua before few days we start working in Trevelyan, our future housemate at that time (Will & Hoe haven't move in yet that time) has got an off day and they invited us to go for a walk in Rotorua.

That is 1 and half hour driving distance from Te Puke, a place that famous with their walking tracks and natural volcanic area. For more info please visit http://www.rotoruanz.com/.

Oh by the way, Rotorua in moari mean "In between 2" but in between 2 what i don''t know. Hahaha.

Ok not fun, go into topic. The first stop in Rotorua is i-site.

Every single place in NZ has an i site centre, provide all the information of the particular place and so with the accomandation and transport booking service. If you do not know where to visit in NZ, visit their i-site and you will got a bruncha of info, just like us :D.

Rotorua i-site

We decided to make our first destination to Lake Rotorua, there is the starting point for the Rotorua Walkway. But we don't go through the walkway, coz will be spending like half day to complete the whole walkway tracks.
The lake itself is a great attraction already, so we just chilling in the lake side, by taking photo w itht he wildlife gulls non-stop.

Rotorua Museum just beside of the lake, but we weren't go in just for the sake of rushing to the next attraction, that we thought will be more interesting than the museum. Still we took some photo of the traditional moari hmmm.. boat? that display in front of the museum.

The next destination is The Redwoods, where is in the town of Rotorua, a wonderful reserve forest. Every scenes are so fake, fake like the photoshop photo XD.

We don't walk into the forest like the other do, just because this forest is like hell huge, and we've to go to the next destination, which i found i should just stay longer in the forest than the next place =(.

But anyway the next destination is Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland, the attraction should have to visit, this is the source of the countless SPA centre in Rotorua.
It cost NZD30 per person for the entering to this thermal wonderland, don't think you have got a free spa inside, there is not and its stinky! But the natural scenes are amazing though.

The blogger & travel mates at the moment
